I found the article interesting, but feel it was about becoming an instructor of a school. I am looking for information about becoming an independent Continuing Education Instructor. Do you have information about that?

    • Neal Lyons says:

Lauren, we have many volunteers who were previously CE instructors and some that are doing it today. we can certainly contemplate an article on this topic. with that said, you will have to be registered to be able to provide CE credits as the first step.

      • Lauren Golin says:

I would love to see an article that possibly helps to give the necessary steps to become an instructor. Hope you do that.

  6. Debbie Schenk says:

  7. Michele Toner says:

Aloha. I am interested in becoming a massage teacher. I have my own massage business and looking for a change. I live in Palm Coast, Fl. I know there is a school in Daytona & I believe in St Augustine however I can not fond either one on this website, or on line. I do have an Associate in Massage & Skin Care & been practicing for 12 years. If you can help I would appreciate. Thank you

  8. Sheryl Daniel says:

    Michele,
To be a massage teacher you simply need to be hired to teach at a school. There is no certification in teaching massage. As a school owner in Colorado, I hire locally and therapist I know when I need help. You should contact schools in your area first. Also check out the Teaching Massage text by Anne Williams, it is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to teach. If you do the free online CEU’s with that book you would be an attractive candidate for employment anywhere. 🙂 Good Luck!

Can you please help me find a school in the Shreveport/Bossier area

      • Robynne Kingswood says:

It’s incredibly misleading to say you are the source for finding massage school Neal.
Prospective students need to be guided to the regulator in their province or state in order to see the full scope of education options available to them as well as who meets regulation requirements in their area.
Not sure why a partial list with of schools with “addictions counselling” and “social work” programs mixed into your list many recognized schools are excluded.
You have some great info here, but this misdirection really detracts trust in your posts.

        • Neal Lyons says:

Robynne – thank you for your feedback. happy to incorporate missing information if you can point out specifics. let us know how we can better the site. as you know this is volunteer based work, and not the only resources, but just one of many students can use in their pursuit. we have links to the state boards, where the students can get more information as you suggested. believe this is what you meant when you said “regulator in their province or state”.
